The total time allocated for the GMAT exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Two optional 8-minute breaks are allocated. The order in which the applicant chooses to attempt the exam is open.
The GMAT scores have been observed to range from 200-800. Being aware of the latest GMAT syllabus is essential, and we ensure that you are well aware and informed to excel at every stage of your GMAT preparation.
Assessment of Analytical Writing
A given argument is analyzed and reported with a critique. The topics are related to business. The objective is judging the individual ability to organize your thoughts and views precisely.
Integrated Reasoning
The GMAT section on Integrated Reasoning requires you to evaluate information that is being presented in multiple formats. They challenge the quantitative and verbal skills, and several questions can be grouped into:
- Multi-source reasoning– The questions require you to assimilate, interpret, apply and compare, the information in the written passages, tables, graphs, diagrams and all forms other types of visual representation.
- Tabular analysis– questions that deal in statistics and mathematical functions like ratio, proportion or probability. Data are given in spreadsheets, and drop-down menus are focused upon in a concise practice format.
- Graphics interpretation–Several questions are answered with bar graphs, line graphs, scatterplots and bubble graphs.
- Two-part analysis–Requires the calculation of the proportion etc., of correct answer options available in a tabulated format for ease of comprehension and calculations.
Tests of Quantitative Reasoning
The Quantitative reasoning section of the GMAT qualifier test has questions grouped into two types:
- Problem Solving
- Data Sufficiency.
These topics have traditionally been grouped as:
- Arithmetic–The powers, roots, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio and proportion, counting methods, discrete probability venn diagrams are discovered and mastered.
- Algebra– Inclusive of equations, absolute values, functions and exponents.
- Geometry– Comprises lines angles, polygons, circles, solids and some forays into coordinate geometry.
- Simple Mathematical Problems on calculations ofproblem– rate, time and work, mixtures, simple and compound interest, discounts, profit and loss, geometry problems, measurement problems and data interpretation are a large part of this sub-section.
Verbal Reasoning
This section measures the learner’s ability to understand the written content and evaluate arguments after due reasoning. The three types of verbal reasoning questions can be enumerated as follows:
- Reading comprehension– A passage of about 350 words is read, understood, and questions are answered after having studied the main, supporting and conclusive ideas along with the style and tone they are written in.
- Critical reasoning–These lead to argument construction, evaluation and formulating concrete action plan.
- Sentence correction – Categories of diction, grammatical construction, logical prediction and maintenance of all forms of sentences are featured here.
